Bam Adebayo scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Miami Heat to a 120-119 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA.
Miami improved to 4-3 with this close win, while Los Angeles fell to 3-3 and suffered their first home loss in four games this season. The Heat shot 54.2% overall, sinking 12 of 25 three-point attempts, whereas the Clippers made 17 of 41 from beyond the arc.
Turnovers were critical, with the Clippers committing 21 giveaways that the Heat converted into 37 points.
The Heat took a 120-116 lead after Adebayo made two free throws with 56 seconds left. Although Adebayo missed a follow-up shot with 26 seconds remaining, Harden’s three-pointer brought the Clippers to within one point with 20 seconds to go.
