Shapiro grew up in Burbank, Los Angeles County, in a two-bedroom house with his three older sisters. His mother worked as a TV company executive, and his father was a composer and pianist. Both were Reagan Republicans.
Shapiro is best known for hosting The Ben Shapiro Show. In 2015, he co-founded The Daily Wire, a conservative media company producing podcasts, streamed shows, scripted films, and documentaries. As of 2024, The Daily Wire was valued at over $220 million.
