Star Trek: The Next Generation had an enormous impact on kids growing up in the 1990s. I watched every episode with my mom. After school, entering my friend's house, a huge cardboard cutout of Captain Jean-Luc Picard welcomed us. I followed Wil Wheaton, who played Wesley Crusher, on social media into my twenties. I even named my son Wesley, though my husband believes it’s after explorer John Wesley Powell.
Lego recently unveiled the Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise set. This detailed replica includes 3,600 pieces and nine minifigures, each with unique accessories.
