Rapper Young Bleed, born Glenn Clifton Jr., passed away on November 1 at the age of 51 due to a brain aneurysm. The Baton Rouge-born artist collapsed at an afterparty following a recent performance in Las Vegas.
Young Bleed’s eldest child, Ty’Gee Ramon Clifton, confirmed his father’s death through an Instagram Reel, aiming to address false rumors surrounding the news.
“I knew with him being a legend worldwide, a lot of people were concerned for him, so I’m here to confirm as his oldest child, that he has gained his wings. My dad was 51 years old when this happened to him,” Clifton said.
Clifton explained that his father had no serious health issues other than high blood pressure, which he managed with medication.
“My dad didn’t have no real health issues. … My dad, like most as you get in age, had high blood pressure. He’d take his medicines and you know, do what he do as a celebrity. After his huge celebration at the Verzuz, went to an afterparty, and that’s where, you know, everything kinda spiked. … It was more of a natural thing.”
Tameka “Madamm Meek” Long, who shares a 10-year-old son with Bleed, informed TMZ that the artist was hospitalized days after his performance at ComplexCon’s Cash Money Verzuz No Limit event.
Following his collapse at the afterparty, Clifton confirmed that Young Bleed passed from the brain aneurysm and related bleeding.
“Like I said, my dad was never in and out of the hospital,” Clifton noted, adding he plans to research brain aneurysms further for better understanding.
Young Bleed, a respected rapper, died suddenly of a brain aneurysm at 51, leaving behind loved ones and fans mourning his unexpected loss.
