Thousands of gamers have been unable to log in to EA Sports FC 26 since early Friday morning. The developers have now explained the reason behind the outage.
Just hours before the release of the highly anticipated new promo, UEFA Primetime, EA Sports FC 26 servers went offline completely. This left players unable to access Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs, and other online game modes.
Players took to social media to express their frustration. Content creator Bonfire5th posted on X:
EA servers are down today on FC26! That ruins the stream for this morning so going to do it in the afternoon instead!
Another player shared:
I was just playing a Division 1 game and it's gone down on me. Frustrating.
Contrary to speculation, the downtime was not caused by any technical glitch. Instead, the servers were deliberately taken offline to perform essential maintenance.
EA Sports FC Direct Communication issued a statement on X, saying:
We have a maintenance coming up. During this time, you will be disconnected or unable to access online services. Match creation will be disabled 30 minutes before maintenance. Titles impacted: EA Sports FC 26, EA Sports FC 25 and EA Sports FC 24 on all platforms.
All these titles on every platform will be affected during the maintenance period.
Players should expect disconnections and inability to access online services until the maintenance is complete. Match creation will be unavailable starting 30 minutes before the maintenance begins.
Summary: EA Sports FC servers are temporarily offline for scheduled maintenance, affecting multiple game editions and interrupting online play until service restoration.
