A flare released by a concertgoer during the first of three Oasis shows in Melbourne provoked a strong reaction from the band’s co-founder, Liam Gallagher, who expressed his anger in an explicit social media post.
The concert, held at Docklands Stadium and drawing over 50,000 fans, marked part of Oasis’s world tour after a 16-year pause in live performances. Despite the celebration, one attendee’s reckless act disrupted the event when a red flare was set off during the performance of the band’s classic track, Champagne Supernova.
According to stadium officials, no injuries occurred during the incident. Security procedures such as bag checks and wand screenings had been implemented before the show, and management stated that measures would be heightened for the following night’s concert.
"To the massive C*** who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne you are 1 seriously f***** up individual and you will get yours trust me."
Officials noted that Gallagher’s outburst effectively voiced the frustration shared by both the band and the crowd over the disruption.
