A dense fog advisory has been issued for the northshore communities located north of Interstates 10 and 12 and east of Interstate 55 on Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The dense fog advisory remains in effect until 8 a.m. Communities under the advisory include Slidell, Hammond, Franklinton, Poplarville, as well as south Mississippi towns like Gulfport and Pascagoula.
"We are expecting fog to develop early in the morning and have issued a Dense Fog Advisory from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. tomorrow morning for areas generally north of I-10/12 and east of I-55.
