The National Weather Service issued an updated dense fog advisory effective until 10 a.m. affecting the Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains in Oregon.
Visibility is expected to drop as low as 1/4 mile in dense fog, creating hazardous driving conditions.
“Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,” explains the weather service. “If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.”
A dense fog advisory indicates that thick fog has developed widely, reducing visibility to a quarter-mile or less. Such conditions are dangerous for travel.
Dense fog in the Northern Blue Mountains significantly reduces visibility, making cautious driving essential to avoid accidents.
