Remembrance Day Parades 2025: Bus Service Changes on Sunday 9 November

Temporary route adjustments will affect several bus services on Remembrance Sunday, 9th November 2025. While the parades NCT has been informed of are listed, other brief disruptions may occur.

Observance of Two Minutes Silence

At 11am on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th November, bus drivers will pause to observe the two-minute silence. Where it is safe, they will park their buses and switch off engines. The company invites passengers to join in this national act of remembrance.

Free Travel for Serving Personnel and Veterans

NCT will provide free travel from 8th to 11th November inclusive for all serving personnel, cadets, and veterans. Passengers must show valid ID or be in uniform when boarding.

Road Closures and Service Diversions on 9 November

Calverton Parade Impact

The Sky Blue 61 route will be affected by a parade in Calverton from 09:00 to 12:00 on 9th November. The following stops will be temporarily missed:

East Leake Road Closure

Main Street in East Leake will be closed between 10:30 and 11:45 on 9th November. The South Notts 1 service will be diverted via Main Street, Castle Hill, and Loughborough Road.
