DENVER – "Following the lowering of flags by the White House in honor of former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, Colorado Governor Jared Polis ordered flags be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings from now until sunset on the day of interment to honor the passing of the former Vice President."
Per tradition, the flags will remain at half-staff until sunset on the date of interment, which has not yet been announced.
Currently enrolled SNAP recipients will receive partial benefits for November amid concerns over the federal shutdown. Adams County is actively mobilizing support to assist 67,000 residents affected by the potential impact on SNAP benefits. Community resources and efforts are in place to help ensure no one goes without assistance.
