The highly-anticipated 2025 NAB AFLW Finals Series is underway. Marking the tenth season milestone, the AFL officially launched the finals and revealed the Grand Final medal presenters at Yarraville Seddon Eagles FC in Melbourne's west.
Finals Series Overview
The series kicks off this Friday night, featuring debut finalists St Kilda and the West Coast Eagles. They will join seasoned teams Adelaide Crows, Brisbane Lions, Melbourne, Carlton, and Hawthorn in the competition for the championship.

Introduction of the Captain's Medal
For the first time in AFLW history, the captain of the winning Grand Final team will be awarded a Captain's Medal, similar to the Ron Barassi Medal in the AFL.
“As a former co-captain of the Adelaide Crows who won two best on ground medals among three premierships, Hall of Famer Erin Phillips OAM will present the Captain's Medal to the winning captain.”
Erin Phillips, an AFLW legend, adds prestige to the new award by personally presenting it.
