Man Confirmed Dead After Shooting on Centre Parkway in Lexington
The Lexington Police Department confirmed a man died following a shooting on Centre Parkway Friday afternoon. The Fayette County Coroner pronounced the victim dead at a local hospital.

Police responded to a shooting call around 3 p.m. in the 1100 block of Centre Parkway. Upon arrival, officers found a man with critical gunshot wounds who was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Although the shooting did not occur on school property, nearby schools were informed as a precaution. Road closures and traffic delays are expected as investigators continue their work at the scene.
