Perodua EV Pilot Production Begins
Perodua's president and CEO, Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, announced that pilot production of the company's first electric vehicle (EV) has started at its Rawang base.
The launch is expected to happen before the end of the year, with a price target of "maximum RM80k".
This news comes as Proton has opened order books for the eMas 5 EV, a rebadged Geely Xingyuan, priced between RM60k to RM80k.
Maximum RM80k price target remains unchanged.
