The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has established new criteria to identify critically important defence enterprises and has opened applications for companies seeking this status.

Enterprises that already hold this status and whose validity period has not expired do not need to reapply or update their information.

Criteria for Critically Important Status

Enterprises are recognized as critically important if more than 50% of their output consists of defence-related products and they participate in state defence contracts.

The status also applies to companies that:

Receive government grants under technology and innovation development programs;
Manage or coordinate state-owned defence plants.

Other enterprises not already classified may qualify if they meet at least three of the following criteria:
