"Happy's Place" returns for its second season on NBC. In the debut season, Bobbie (Reba McEntire) inherits her father's tavern but discovers she isn’t the sole owner. At the will reading, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo) arrives, revealing they are half-sisters and now co-own the tavern together.
"I'm one of the few Latinos on a network TV show, so I feel very lucky. I feel very blessed, and I'm so happy to share it with the cast that I'm sharing it with. It's a group of amazing people."
Melissa Peterman, known for playing McEntire's best friend in six seasons of "Reba" in the early 2000s, returns as Gabby, a bartender at Happy's Place.
"It's like I got to win the lottery twice, which is so exciting and grateful to do it. I think after we finished the first show, we knew we wanted to do something together again. She's always been a really good role model of 'when the time is right, when the project's right, when the people are right, then that's gonna be the one to go,' and we were all just sort of waiting for 'Happy's Place.'"
The second season marks a reunion of the "Reba" cast and crew, including showrunner and executive producer Kevin Abbott, executive producer Matt Berry, and actor Steve Howey.
"Happy's Place" blends family dynamics and comedy as it reunites beloved cast members, bringing fresh stories with a sense of connection and representation.
