Long-Range Drone Strikes in Crimea

On November 7, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) reported strikes on an oil depot and logistic facilities in Crimea, which is currently occupied by Russian forces. The attack targeted an oil depot near Hvardiiske, approximately 20 kilometers north of Simferopol.

A full RVS-400 tank, used for storing oil, petroleum products, and other liquids, was destroyed during the operation, according to the SSO.

“Special Operations Forces continue to act asymmetrically in countering the enemy’s military capabilities,”

the SSO stated in a Telegram post, accompanied by drone footage of the strikes.

Additional Attacks and Reactions

The SSO also claimed its drones hit multiple oil depots and fuel storage sites in Simferopol and its vicinity. Furthermore, two trains carrying tank wagons loaded with petroleum products at a loading and unloading site were targeted.

The Russian occupational administration in Crimea has not commented on these Ukrainian claims. Independent verification of the SSO’s reports by The Kyiv Independent was not possible.
