For the first time since 2023, Penn State players have earned honors from the Hockey Commissioners Association. Forwards JJ Wiebusch and Gavin McKenna have been key contributors to Penn State’s impressive 9-1-0 start to the season, enhancing their noteworthy college hockey careers.
Wiebusch and McKenna become the third and fourth players in Penn State history to receive Hockey Commissioners Association honors. The last Penn Stater to achieve this was Aiden Fink, named Rookie of the Month in 2023.
The duo will compete in East Lansing, Michigan, facing the No. 1 team on Friday, November 7, with the match broadcast on Big Ten Plus.
