Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered a commanding performance with 41 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists, leading the Milwaukee Bucks to a 126–110 win over the Chicago Bulls. The victory handed the Bulls their second loss of the season and their first in NBA Cup pool play.
Both Milwaukee and Chicago entered the Friday matchup with similar offensive pace. The Bulls averaged 120.4 points per game, ranking seventh in the league, while the Bucks were close behind with 119.9. The key difference turned out to be Antetokounmpo, a perennial MVP contender who took over the game in the fourth quarter, scoring 19 of his points there.
“He’s just a handful with the way he plays,” Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said. “I’ve got great respect for his motor, intensity, and the way he competes, but you’ve got to match force with force. He without question in the fourth quarter overwhelmed us.”
Milwaukee consistently found ways to let Giannis dominate physically. Bulls forward Isaac Okoro, who began defending Antetokounmpo, quickly faced foul trouble, forcing Chicago to rotate several big men on him with little success.
“He just started going at us one-on-one, and when he sees space, he’s going to attack it,” Okoro said.
The Bucks and Bulls played on equal terms offensively, but Giannis Antetokounmpo’s fourth-quarter dominance secured Milwaukee’s decisive win and reminded Chicago of the power of an MVP-caliber star.
