Intel is rumored to be preparing a new flagship called Bartlett Lake-S, designed to push clock speeds to 6GHz while focusing entirely on powerful P-Cores. Unlike hybrid models featuring both performance and efficiency cores, this chip reportedly omits E-Cores entirely.
According to leaks from tech insider
@jaykihn0 on X, the leading Bartlett Lake-S model could feature 12 P-Cores with a boost frequency of 6GHz, an all-core boost of 5.5GHz, and a 3.4GHz base clock. Such configurations would give it more P-Cores than any recent Intel desktop processor.
These specifications suggest that Intel is rebalancing core design toward maximum single-thread performance. While omitting 16 E-Cores may reduce background-task efficiency, gaining four additional P-Cores could make the CPU highly competitive for gaming workloads.
Despite this, internal documentation reportedly indicates that Bartlett Lake-S may be oriented more toward edge computing applications rather than gaming alone.
Author’s summary: Intel’s Bartlett Lake-S chip reportedly delivers up to 6GHz across 12 P-Cores, marking a major shift toward pure performance for high-end gaming and edge computing.
