Golden State Warriors star guard Steph Curry’s status for Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings remains uncertain. After Tuesday’s win over the Phoenix Suns, Curry revealed he has been battling a cold, which has affected his energy levels.
Despite scoring 28 points and making five three-pointers in the victory, Curry struggled with fatigue, especially in the second half. He said:
“I was running out of energy toward the end. I’ll see how I feel after checking with the medical staff, but we’ll make the smart call.”
Curry will consult with team doctors before deciding whether to travel and play against the Kings. There is speculation the Warriors might rest him on the second night of a back-to-back game.
The Warriors could also be without forward Jimmy Butler, who left Tuesday’s game early due to a back issue. Head Coach Steve Kerr acknowledged the team’s depth will be tested if both players are unavailable.
Betting lines have shifted due to the uncertainty surrounding Curry’s participation. Oddsmakers have made Sacramento a 3.5-point home favorite, reflecting concerns about the Warriors' chances without their full lineup.
Stephen Curry’s cold-related fatigue has cast doubt on his availability for the upcoming game, with potential rest impacting Golden State’s competitiveness and the betting odds.
