All summer, Pettersson expressed determination to improve, stating he was "out for revenge" following a disappointing 45-point total last year, which was his second-lowest in the NHL so far.
Although the Swedish forward from Sundsvall has scored ten points this season, his overall play has been underwhelming, and his shot frequency has declined compared to earlier years, raising some concern.
