In the wake of the recent government shutdown, the Russo family, owners of Riccardo's Pizza in Browns Mills, New Jersey, chose to support their community by offering free meals to anyone in need, without asking questions.

Since their social media announcement, Riccardo's Pizza has received numerous calls and messages from people seeking help, as well as offers of donations from others. Owner Vito Russo emphasizes the importance of giving back after 51 years of community support.
A Family Tradition
Salvatore Russo, who immigrated from Sicily, started Riccardo's Pizza in 1974 and still works daily, focusing on making the pizza dough. The business now involves three generations of the Russo family, along with their co-workers and customers, who have formed one large extended family.
“As long as the Good Lord gives me the grace and the opportunity and this platform, we'll keep it rocking and rolling,” said Vito Russo.
