Weather Outlook and Safety Measures

According to PAGASA, the tropical cyclone is projected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by midnight or early morning of November 8, with a possible landfall over Northern or Central Luzon by Monday. While MIMAROPA is not expected to experience a direct impact, the OCD underscored the necessity of proactive readiness and close coordination among response clusters.

“Preparedness and coordination are essential even if our region is outside the immediate path of the storm,” the OCD emphasized.

Geological and Flood Risk Assessment

Based on reports from the MGB MIMAROPA, no barangays in the region have been classified as prone to landslides or flooding at this time. Merari B. Rosaroso of the MGB Geosciences Division stated that no rainfall-related hazards are anticipated in the next two to three days, but the agency remains vigilant for any emerging conditions.

“We continue to monitor for possible developments despite the current low-risk status,” said Rosaroso.
