League of Legends Unveils New Cinematic During Worlds 2025

During the 2025 World Championship, Riot Games released a new cinematic trailer for Season 3 of League of Legends titled "Twilight's End." The reveal was part of a week filled with major updates and announcements for fans of the popular MOBA title.

New Patch and Cinematic Collaboration

The latest update, Patch 25.22, introduced a series of game adjustments ahead of Worlds 2025. The centerpiece, however, was the cinematic collaboration between Riot Games and the award-winning French studio Fortiche, known for creating the acclaimed series Arcane.

All paths converge at the Temple of Twilight in a brand-new cinematic made in partnership with Fortiche.

"Twilight's End" follows the story of Xin Zhao, who must face his destiny after the centuries-old decision of Zaahen. The film captures themes of sacrifice, courage, and legacy that have long defined the League of Legends universe.

Esports Announcements for 2026

Alongside the cinematic premiere, Riot Games presented preliminary plans for the 2026 competitive season. The First Stand Tournament 2026 will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, at the Riot Games Arena from March 16 to 22.

Additionally, the Mid-Season Invitational 2026 is scheduled to take place in Daejeon, South Korea, continuing Riot’s global expansion of its esports circuit.
