Emmy and SAG Award winner Samira Wiley will make her Broadway debut this spring as Claire in the revival of Proof, David Auburn’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The production is directed by Tony winner Thomas Kail and will open at the Booth Theatre on March 31, 2026.
Grammy nominee Jin Ha returns to Broadway as Hal, joining Wiley alongside previously announced stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle.
A Juilliard graduate, Wiley recently appeared in the Donmar Warehouse’s London production of Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel. She also starred in the National Theatre’s Blues For An Alabama Sky and performed Off-Broadway in the 2016 production of Daphne’s Dive at the Signature Theatre.
On television, Wiley is known for her role as Poussey Washington on Netflix’s Orange is the New Black. She recently finished filming the final season of Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, for which she won the 2018 Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama and earned three additional nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
Ha made his Broadway debut in 2017 in Julie Taymor’s production of David Henry Hwang’s M. In 2018, he portrayed Annas in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, which earned him a shared Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.
