Ireland Moves Closer to New Supercomputer and AI Factory Antenna
Ireland is closer to getting its own AI Factory Antenna and national supercomputer, thanks to two new projects.
The Irish AI Factory Antenna has been awarded €5m in European funding, which will be matched by the Irish Government, totaling €10m.
- The funding was awarded after passing an evaluation by the European High Performance Computing (EuroHPC) joint undertaking (JU).
- A hosting agreement has been signed for the supercomputer.
The Government bid to host the Antenna in Ireland earlier this year.
