Actor and filmmaker Anshuman Jha, known for his performances in Love Sex Aur Dhokha and Lakadbaggha, will collaborate with acclaimed director Devashish Makhija on a new crime-noir thriller. Makhija, celebrated for Ajji (2017) and Joram (2023), is known for his intense, socially rooted storytelling, and this new project is expected to continue that cinematic tone.
Jha, who recently directed Lord Curzon Ki Haveli, will not only act but also contribute creatively to the production. The film is said to explore the darker aspects of morality and justice, blending psychological tension with noir aesthetics.
“Devashish is one of the most original voices in Indian cinema today, and it’s exciting to build a story world with him,” Jha reportedly said.
The project is currently in pre-production, with filming expected to commence in 2025. Casting and additional crew details remain under wraps, but insiders hint that the movie will push boundaries within Indian independent cinema.
