Irish Firms Not Fully Prepared for New Pensions Auto-Enrolment Scheme
The majority of Irish businesses are not fully prepared for pensions auto-enrolment, according to the results of a latest industry survey.
A survey of 270 employers at a recent webinar, Pensions Update: Auto-Enrolment, found that most companies are still finalising plans, despite the scheme taking effect on 1 January 2026.
- Two-thirds of respondents (66%) said they were still working on compliance
- 18% have yet to start
- Only 16% said they were fully prepared with plans already in place
