Fiona Johnston will depart Dentsu at the end of this week after nearly three years with the company.
Currently CEO – client and commercial, and practice resident, Johnston joined from IPG Mediabrands. Her departure follows Kirsty Muddle’s announcement that she will be joining Ogilvy, with B&T understanding the two are unconnected.
Johnston’s departure is also unconnected to the rumoured sale of Dentsu’s international business. Dentsu is removing Johnston’s current role to bring greater simplicity to its business, including a flatter leadership structure, and realigning its model to support its strategic capabilities and Media ++ strategy.
No comment from Dentsu on the rumors of the sale of its international business.
