Police: Elderly Driver Caused Two Crashes in Bethlehem
Bethlehem Police reported that an 83-year-old man caused two separate crashes within minutes of each other on Friday, resulting in one fatality.
The first crash occurred at approximately 12:46 p.m. on Route 9W, near Church Road, where the elderly driver from West Coxsackie crossed into the southbound lane and sideswiped another vehicle, with no injuries reported.
Minutes later, at around 12:48 p.m., the second crash happened on Route 9W, near Wemple Road, resulting in one fatality.
