Amupitan: New Broom at INEC
Last week, October 7, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu, Chair of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), exited his position, and Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu replaced him in an acting capacity.
She is now likely to hold the record of being a placeholder for a short period of time, following in the footsteps of Ms. Amina Bala Zakari, the only other Acting Chairman in INEC's history, who served from June to November 2015.
Mrs Mbu may not be that lucky.
