Elin Hilderbrand, author of "28 Summers", has teamed up with her daughter Shelby Cunningham to write a dark academia page-turner, "The Academy", which already has a TV adaptation in the works.
Hilderbrand's latest book takes the drama from Nantucket to Western Mass, pivoting from her usual beach reads to dark academia.
Think Curtis Sittenfield's "Prep" meets "A Separate Peace" with a dash of Donna Tartt's genre-definer "The Secret History" and a "Gilmore Girls" vibe.
The book features multiple points of view, mouth-watering food descriptions, and juicy drama, trademarks of Hilderbrand's novels.
