Windows 10 Extended Security Updates
Windows 10 has reached its End of Life on October 14, 2025, but users can extend its lifespan through the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program.
To enroll, users can click "Enroll now" on the Windows Update page, link their Microsoft account, and sync Settings to OneDrive.
- In the EU, a Microsoft account is required for free Windows 10 ESU.
- Outside the EU, users also need to sync Settings to OneDrive.
- In the US, 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points can be used to sign up for Windows 10 ESU.
Users who do not have a Microsoft account or Rewards points can subscribe to the $30 ESU.
Microsoft has made the $30 ESU available in the Store for those who want to continue using Windows 10 with a local account and receive updates.
