Uzbekistan Invests in AI Sector
The Uzbek government is investing $100 million to develop its AI sector.
The investment will focus on data centers, training programs, and partnerships with tech giants and universities.
Sherzod Shermatov, Digital Technologies Minister, said a large chunk of the funding is intended for initiatives to attract foreign investors to construct data centers in Karakalpakstan.
The autonomous region of Karakalpakstan in western Uzbekistan is set to benefit from the government funding.
