Suspected Stolen Mercedes Caught on Camera
Footage shows the moment a suspected stolen Mercedes careers along a footpath after attempting to swerve a police stinger during a pursuit.
Patrols had requested the driver stop in Sturry Road, Canterbury, just before 10am, but the driver continued, hitting three other cars before officers lost sight of him.
Footage taken from the scene shows police using a stinger device along the A28 Island Road to bring the speeding Mercedes to a stop.
The vehicle can be seen attempting to swerve the trap but its offside rear tyre appears to be clipped.
The incident occurred outside the Hoplands housing development.
