Many people attended an open house and anniversary celebration at The Jena Times office in Jena on October 8.
The event allowed the newspaper to express its appreciation to all of its advertisers and supporters, including state and local elected officials and executives in parish industry and local businesses.
The local newspaper is the oldest, continuously operated business in LaSalle Parish, founded in 1905.
“We really wanted to just hold a small event for our newspaper’s anniversary and were so blessed by the number of people who attended,”
Current owners Craig and Kim Franklin expressed their deep appreciation to all who attended and made the day special.
The Franklins added,
“Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us.”
