Knoll’s ‘Biboni’ Sofa: A Blend of 1970s Icons and the Michelin Man

Architects Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee designed the ‘Biboni’ sofa for Knoll, drawing inspiration from 1970s design icons, including the Michelin Man, Bibendum, and macaroni.

The “Biboni” has a chubbiness that feels welcoming and informal. It also has the precision and purity of a centrepiece in a room.

The sofa collection features curves that envelop the body and a frame that appears to float, available in two-, three-, and four-seaters, as well as sectionals with chaise options.

Author's summary: Knoll’s ‘Biboni’ sofa combines 1970s style with modern comfort.
