Trump Announces Peace Summit with Putin
President Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.
After the call, Trump described the conversation as
"very productive"and announced that U.S. Secretary of State will meet with Russian high-level advisers next week.
Trump revealed that he scheduled another in-person meeting with Putin in Budapest, Hungary, to discuss the Russia-Ukraine war, saying
"to see if we can bring this 'inglorious' War between Russia and Ukraine to an end."
The telephone call lasted nearly 2.5 hours, according to Yuri Ushakov, President Putin's foreign policy aide.
