For the first time in at least 20 years, Monroe Country's three football teams failed to score a single point against their respective opponents last weekend.
This rare occurrence, known as a triple-blanking, may become more common if the FHSAA's open transfer policy remains unchanged.
The policy, which was introduced in 2016 through Florida House Bill 7029, allows students to transfer to any public school of their choice.
The FHSAA's bylaws were changed to accommodate the bill.
