The Williams Road Fire, located near Burnet, Texas, has reached 90% containment as of 8:59 p.m., according to the Texas A&M Forest Service.
Burnet County officials have confirmed that all fire is contained within the established perimeter, with no evacuations or closures reported. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, and no structures have been impacted.
To ensure safe working conditions for crews in aircraft, a 5-mile temporary flight restriction has been requested around the fire perimeter by the Texas A&M Forest Service.
Helicopters were utilized by officials from Inks Lake State Park to pick up waste from the lake and drop it on the blaze. The fire did not reach the state park.
"This incident is a good reminder of how quickly wildfires can spread and the importance of fire safety,"
