The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has discovered a significant amount of unaccounted wealth belonging to the arrested Executive Director and Regional Officer of the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) in Guwahati.
Following a series of raids across multiple cities, officials found that the officer, caught accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh on October 14, has amassed substantial assets in his and his family's names.
- Raids were conducted at his office and residences in Guwahati, Ghaziabad, and Imphal.
- CBI officials recovered Rs 2.62 crore in cash and numerous documents related to real estate and investments.
