B.C. Lions 37, Edmonton Elks 24: Key Plays Lead to Surging Vancouver Win
The B.C. Lions secured a 37-24 win over the Edmonton Elks, eliminating them from the CFL playoffs.
With 74 seconds left in the opening half, Nathan Rourke led the Lions 78 yards in eight plays, throwing three consecutive first-down passes.
Even though he made one of the biggest plays of the game, B.C. Lions cornerback Robert Carter Jr. picked off a Cody Fajardo pass early in the third quarter and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown.
This play gave the Lions a 17-10 lead, with Carter celebrating by throwing the ball into the stands. The Lions then rattled off 25 consecutive points to secure their win.
