The 4 seed's victory marked her fifth career title and second of 2025, with all five titles won on hard courts. This win was only the second time she won back-to-back matches since her victory in Washington, D.C., in July.
With this win, Fernandez climbed five spots to No. 22 in the WTA Live Rankings and reclaimed the Canadian No. 1 ranking from Victoria Mboko, according to WTA reports.
Fernandez started the match confidently, taking less than 30 minutes to win the first set 6-0 against the young Czech qualifier.
