The Luzerne County Election Board’s post-election adjudication will commence earlier than in previous years.
According to Election Director Emily Cook, adjudication will begin on November 6 at 9 a.m. on the third floor of the Penn Place Building.
Adjudication determines the validity of flagged mail and provisional ballots and tallies write-in votes.
Cook has altered procedures to prioritize adjudication preparation, allowing for an earlier start.
The adjudication process is open to the public and additional sessions will be scheduled as necessary.
Traditionally, adjudication begins the Friday after elections
