Tri-State Preparing for Heavy Rain and Winds Ahead of Sunday Nor'easter

New Jersey residents are preparing for the storm, with many obtaining sandbags. The state has entered a State of Emergency as of 10 p.m.

In Monmouth County, residents are taking no chances, filling sandbag after sandbag ahead of the big storm. According to CERT volunteer Autumn Nonnenmacher,

"So far we have given out about 1,500"
sandbags.

A State of Emergency has been declared across all 21 counties, with concerns including wind, beach erosion, flooding, and power outages. Many residents are preparing out of an abundance of caution, remembering Superstorm Sandy.

PSE&G crews are performing system and logistics checks ahead of the storm, and all NJ Transit services will continue operating on regular schedules as long as the weather and road conditions are safe.
