The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha Metro) has shortlisted two firms to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed 20 km Shivajinagar–Kondhwa Metro corridor in Pune.
The corridor will include a spur line extending to the NIBM area, according to a report by the Times of India. The proposal has been sent to the Central government for approval.
"We've received three tenders and shortlisted two firms. The Centre will fund the DPR preparation. After approval, the selected agency will begin work immediately,"
a senior Maha Metro official said. The DPR preparation is expected to take three to four months, with the Union government funding the study.
