Reform's promise of savings on council tax bills is not going as planned. The reality of having Reform in government is starting to show, with their own councillors' promises of slashing expenditure being debunked.

A recent report stated that Kent County Council would raise taxes next year. Additionally, The Times reported that other Reform-led councils, including those in Durham, West Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Lincolnshire, and Worcestershire, are also considering tax increases to fund their services.

One of the councils, Worcestershire, is reportedly considering a rise as high as 10% to council tax bills.

Not even the specialist ‘DOGE unit’ has been able to deliver on savings.
