Government Committed to Passing Anti-LGBTQ Bill
According to Rashid Tanko Computer, Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the government is committed to passing the Anti-LGBTQI+ Bill.
We are so committed to passing that bill to the extent that government wants to sponsor it itself.
Mr Tanko stated that the government's position reflects Ghana's cultural and traditional values, which oppose same-sex relationships. "Government is saying that we are mindful of Ghanaian culture. We are very mindful of our culture and tradition.
The government has been in power for less than a year and is still putting the necessary structures in place to ensure the bill is properly handled, addressing claims of delay.
