Despite the win, the Sharks' struggles with self-inflicted mistakes continued. A high-sticking penalty by Vincent Iorio led to a power-play goal, and an unforced error between Tyler Toffoli and Vincent Desharnais resulted in a 2-on-1 goal for Marco Rossi.
"That was our own doing," said San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky. "That's one big lesson."
