Record LNG Growth Forecasted by IEA

A record wave of new liquefied natural gas production capacity is expected to come online by 2030, transforming gas market dynamics.

According to the International Energy Agency's (IEA) "Gas 2025" medium-term outlook report, 300 billion cubic metres per year of LNG export capacity will be added by 2030, primarily in the United States and Qatar.

Barring unexpected disruptions, this is forecast to result in lower prices in the years ahead and spur higher demand.

The IEA expects this growth to strengthen global supply security and ease market pressure.
